Luis Pardo
Luis Pardo was born in Matián (Granada) on June 18th, 1953. When he was four years old, he moved to the village of Contador, Almeria. At nine, his family settled in the city of Alcoi (Alicante), where he later attended the Escuela de Bellas Artes de Alcoi (School of Fine Arts of Alcoi).
When he turned eighteen, he traveled to France, specifically to the city of Valence. There, he further deepened his knowledge of current impressionist painting and made his first contact with art dealers and art galleries in the area.
At the beginning of his artistic career as a painter, his exhibitions were in cultural institutions, banks, and official institutions. His first individual exhibition in an art gallery was in 1981. Currently, Luis Pardo has had more than a hundred solo exhibitions in the most renowned national and international art galleries and has participated in several collective exhibitions.
His pictorial work is part of private art collections in France and Latin America. His artwork is also present in Norway as part of the DAHLE collection, formed by more than five hundred artworks whose exclusive theme is the sea.
He was also been selected to create posters for events like the 2014 "Fuente Roja" Romería, and the patron saint of Alcoy, the Virgen de Los Lirios, celebrated on September, 21st every year.
