Jorge Sellés will exhibit audiovisual artwork at the GEORGES POMPIDOU Art and Culture Center in Paris (France)

The visual artist from Alcoy Jorge Sellés has been selected to participate in the special program of linear videos of the V Edition of the International Biennial of Digital Art The Wrong nº5 directed by David Quiles Guilló, as part of the World of Networks Exhibition in the international program belonging to the "Réseaux-Mondes" pavilion curated by Marie-Ange Brayer and Olivier Zeitoun at the Georges Pompidou Art and Culture Center (Le Center Pompidou) in Paris (France).

The exhibition will be able to be seen between February 23 and April 25, 2022 in the main exhibition hall set up for The Wrong Biennial No. 5, an exhibition perhaps unique of its kind due to the quality and uniqueness of the works exhibited, among which stand out experimental audiovisual pieces by artists established in the international scene of the New Era of Digital Art such as Fernando Velázquez, Yoshi Sodeoka, Aujik, Michaël Borras aka Systaime, Armin Copp, Alexandre Louvenaz, Sam Machell, Juanma Lodo, Boris Hoppek, Piero Chiariello, Cachopou and Freré Reinert, among many others.

The Wrong is a collaborative effort that harnesses the potential of the Internet, configured as a decentralized Global Art Biennale and a television channel, open to participation, occurring both online and offline, awarded Sois Cultura 2019 and Ehrenerwähnung in S + T + Arts 2020.

"With millions of viewers, The Wrong could be the world's largest Art Biennale, today's digital world's answer to Venice" (The New York Times). More than 73,000 artists and curators have officially participated in The Wrong to date.

“An alternative yet ambitious new path, The Wrong is a concept that could prove key to the flourishing of arts and culture in post-pandemic times” (S + T + Arts 2020 Jury).

In the words of the artist Jorge Sellés himself: "From a very young age I knew and understood that my city of Alcoy had reserved for me a very special gift to nourish me through its traditions and culture as a person and an artist. In art as in life, the most good time we have is precious but, above all, the time we share with the people we love, love us and accompany us along the way. Without the unconditional support of my family, my friends and my fellow artists, especially Santi Delgado, David Quiles Guilló and Michaël Borras, it would not have been possible to achieve such feat in today's art world. As Salvador Dalí stated: 'Everything alters me, but nothing changes me', I have always been faithful to my style without renouncing my roots and who I am: a human being fortunate for friendship, commitment and honesty."
