Jorge Sellés is awarded an honorable mention at the CVO 2021 Biennial of Arts of the city of Valencia
Last Thursday, December 2, the ceremony of delivery of Honorable Mentions and Special Mentions "V BIENNAL DE VALÈNCIA / CIUTAT VELLA OBERTA 2021" took place in the Refectory Room of the CCCC (Carmen Center of Contemporary Culture of Valencia) in which the visual artist from Alcoy Jorge Sellés was awarded the Honorable Mention for the quality of the work presented, its innovation, the level of depth in content and the use of new digital techniques and having contributed significantly to the growth of the work of the Biennial CVO 2021 in its desire to make the artistic work of its creators visible in the cultural and participatory framework of the city of Valencia, in order to project identity to other territories.
After more than 20 years of experience and trajectory in the world of audiovisual art and video art, the work of Jorge Sellés is beginning to be recognized, consolidating his peculiar projection and essential foray into national and international artistic circuits without forgetting his origins in the land that He has seen him born and grow personally and professionally.
Currently the artist focuses his efforts on new creative projects that have the indisputable and successful reception and are more protected by honest commitment, effective involvement and unconditional defense of the current art of new digital media in cultural entities, organizations and institutions that support these fundamental criteria.
The author says "Undoubtedly, this recognition can serve as a trigger to sensitize and put on alert those who remain entrenched, justifying, as an inexorable exception, the cursed rule of elitist exclusion and supporting "the same for the same" without supporting the talent and courage of the new generations of artists and, therefore, receive and give way, definitively and in coexistence of mutual enrichment and prosperity, to the refreshing, more culturally diverse contribution of the current Digital Age."
