Jorge Sellés | ARTFORUM TOP TEN 2022 / Réseaux-Mondes Exhibition + The Wrong Video-Program at Center Pompidou Paris

Réseaux-Mondes is chosen among the ten best art exhibitions of the year 2022 by the distinguished international curator Xiaoyu Weng for the prestigious international art publisher Artforum.

Réseaux-Mondes, conceived as a group show of a selection of works of contemporary digital audiovisual art in order to explore the limits of popular narrative, in which The Wrong organization presented a 10-hour video program included in the same exhibition , which took place from February 23 to April 25, 2022 in Gallery 4 of the Center Pompidou Paris,

The exhibition brought together leading artists, architects and designers who questioned the place of the network (internet) in our societies innervated by social networks and the dematerialization of the very network of communication and expression, more than ever, in the current era of Internet, with cyberspace at the center of technological change and social problems: surveillance, atomization of the individual, actor-network, network of living beings.

The Wrong video program was directed and coordinated by the multifaceted agitator and cultural organizer, conceptual artist, musician and editor David Quiles Guilló for the exhibition Réseaux-Mondes curated by the personalities of Marie-Ange Brayer and Olivier Zeitoun at the Center Pompidou Paris. Among the 70 internationally renowned artists selected, the figure of the Spanish visual artist Jorge Sellés stood out, whose selected experimental digital work "Unexpected Reminder" was part of this exhibition.

Xiaoyu Weng, based in Toronto and New York, is a curator at the Carol & Morton Rapp Foundation and director of modern and contemporary art at the Art Gallery of Ontario and advisor to the Kadist art corporation. She previously served as Associate Curator at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York and in 2019 she curated the Urals Industrial Biennale of Contemporary Art in Yekaterinburg, Russia.
